NEW BALANCE

This International Women’s Day, local running platform, Tempo Journal, and global footwear brand, New Balance, wanted to put women on the podium in their WE GOT NOW collab campaign. With a focus on the freedom and independence of female athletes, we were charged with profiling gun local runner, Ellie Pashley, as part of a global piece that heroes athletes around the world. A job like this runs the risk of a contrived and forced execution, but it was the calibre of our creative team that really brought this project across the finish line in a blaze of glory.

Who
run the
world?
Girls.

Led by an all-incredible, all-female team with Director Annalise Hickey at the helm and Producer Josie Baynes, DOP Alice Stephens and Editor Grace Eyre at her side. Our goal was to capture this formidable athlete and Olympic-hopeful in her natural habitat, both literally and figuratively.

Authenticity without the BS

The result was proudly and unapologetically real. With the aim of inspiring young female athletes to follow in Ellie’s powerful footsteps, we set this clip out into wild confident we’d yet again done justice to the brief, the concept and the inspiring subject.
