HP | HENRY ZHANG

The planet is brimming with brilliant artistic minds, and far be it from us to deny the world the chance to witness the work of one more talented creative. When major US computer hardware company, HP, were looking to up their social awareness, we jumped at the chance to document contemporary artist, Henry Zhang, on his home turf. The aim of the branded documentary was to bring to light the way HP latex printers transcend traditional barriers to art consumption, making it more readily available to the masses through mediums such as public spaces.

ART
FOR THE
MASSES

The proverbial bat signal went up and from around the world our crew assembled in Shanghai. Over three days, we traversed the city, navigating our way around the city’s vibrant streets and ever-present language barriers, absorbing the nuanced local culture and the way it influenced Henry’s work.

BRANDED
STORY-
TELLING

It was a challenge balancing the instinctive desire to authentically capture Henry with the clients brand message – we’re proud of the creation of a well-executed and balanced piece of branded storytelling that retains the essence of Henry and his work.
