This documentary-style approach allowed director/DOP Jules Lucas to answer the brief head-on, placing control of the narrative in the hands of the those on the frontline, enabling them to set the tone of their own story.
Supported by a crew of long-time collaborators, including producer Giordi Caputo, the production required the small team to wear many hats and approach very personal issues with sensitivity and care. Ultimately, being led by our intuition and the stories as they unfolded was a rewarding process to be a part of.
