Fintona

The old adage, ‘never work with kids or animals’ is a hard one to abide by when you’re tasked with creating a brand campaign for a school. Not ones to follow rules in the first place, we got to work weaving an authentic story behind Balwyn’s Fintona Girls’ School, spearheaded by Director Greta Nash who had a vision to bring the institute to life through the girls’ eyes.

Where previous clips failed to do the school’s culture and atmosphere justice, Greta was determined to create a clip that told of the ambition, diversity and opportunity behind the doors of Fintona.

Authentic stories like these require an exhaustive (but delightful) pre-production process. Greta put in the hard yards to form sincere relationships with the girls, working with them to shape their own independent stories. It’s a credit to her that the brand video possesses such a powerful angle, and a credit to the Wildebeest team that in bringing the same innovative approach to every video we shoot, we’ve created one with such unique cut through on Melbourne’s school scene.
