We were asked to profile an award-winning small business for Telstra as part of a competition where multiple filmmakers profile different businesses. Our film captured the journey of Bruny Island Cheese Co. and the personal experiences of its owner, Nick Haddow. Because Bruny is a small, isolated island (just south of a slightly larger, isolated island) it has a unique impact on the people who visit it, and it became as important to the story as Nick and his company. Oh, and we won the competition and were flown to NYC for the awards, which was almost as good as all the free cheese.
