Not a Tourist

When you’re travelling, sticking to the guidebook is the easy option. But wandering freely can lead you to people and places you never expected. It’s these moments on which Visa built their ‘Not a Tourist’ campaign. We had to deliver a film that lived up to this concept, one that would take people on a journey beyond poolside piña coladas and hotel massages.

The depth of an Icelandic winter is the perfect setting for an adventure. The country itself became as much a protagonist as the travellers we followed. Actually, this project embodied why we started Wildebeest in the first place. We were able to assemble a small crew, fly somewhere truly unique, enjoy absolute freedom and create something that went above and beyond the brief and the client’s expectations.
